Rules about Contributions

For contributions of over $200, a campaign is required to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of the contributor. If your contribution is over $200, please include that information or provide us with a way to contact you so that we may obtain that information.

The maximum that an individual can contribute per election is $2,300; a couple can contribute $4,600. The Democratic Primary in March and the General Election in November count as two separate elections.

A campaign is not permitted to accept contributions from: corporations, labor organizations, national banks, a person contributing another person’s funds, a federal government contractor, or from a foreign national who lacks permanent resident status.

Contributions to campaigns are not deductible for purposes of federal income taxes.
